ABOUT ME
Drawing from over ten years of singing and theatrical experience at the community, collegiate, and professional level, voice teacher Benjamin Seiwert is dedicated to training singers of all ages in developing a strong healthy singing technique, honing public presentation skills, and crafting the foundation for musicianship expertise in the greater Columbus Indiana community and beyond. Benjamin proudly holds a Masters of Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

Trained in both Musical Theater and Operatic repertoire, Benjamin Seiwert graduated from the Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music with a Master's of Music in voice in 2018. Professionally, Benjamin played the leading role of John Newton (Amazing Grace) with Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theater as well as Tony in the Evansville Philharmonic's concert production of West Side Story. Coming up, Benjamin will be performing the role of Mordred in Indianapolis Opera's Production of Camelot. While in school, Benjamin appeared several times with IU Opera Theater with whom he had been seen in leading and supporting roles such as Tony (West Side Story), Harry Bailey (It's a Wonderful Life), Harold Hill (Music Man), Yamadori (Madama Butterfly), Dancairo (Carmen), Motorcycle Cop (Dead Man Walking), and The Painter (The Last Savage). Benjamin has appeared with the University Gilbert and Sullivan Society as Grosvenor (Patience), Robin Oakapple (Ruddigore), Samuel (Pirates of Penzance), and Lord Tolloler (Iolanthe) and has appeared with New Voices Opera as Charles (Swan's Love). Benjamin is also involved with his local community theater Mill Race Theater Company in Columbus Indiana and has appeared as Joseph (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Bill Sykes (Oliver), Augustus Gloop (Willy Wonka), and Albert (The Wind in the Willows).
